MW3 to have party chat
Xbox 360 users will most likely remember that Modern Warfare 2 didn't fully support Party Chat. The reason for this was that dishonest players could inform their friends about the enemy's location once they died, or worse, switch teams and feed information to their friends on the other side.
Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has revealed to MTV Multiplayer that Party Chat will be making a comeback in MW3. Party Chat should be available in all game modes, except Search & Destroy, where players are given a single life per round. Players will have the option to join normal games where voice chat is allowed, or go for the more competitive ones, where voice chat will be limited.
MW3 to feel more like the original, with simpler maps
MW3's multiplayer reveal is still over a month away. Despite this, Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has tried to suppress our anticipation with some new info on MW3's multiplayer experience.
Unlike recent Call of Duty games, MW3's multiplayer experience will not as heavily rely on air support, killstreaks and perks. Instead, it will focus more on fast-paced, gun-on-gun gameplay that COD4 became famous for, allowing less skilled players into the heart of the action.
COD4's simplistic map design will be rejuvenated in MW3. This means that maps will have no more than 5 'hotspots' in each area where enemy players could be hiding. This discourages camping since there are fewer places to hide, the opposite of MW2. Instead of focusing on buildings and vertical combat, MW3 will focus around raw weapon action, reverting back to the COD4 days.
Bowling summarized that they want players to be able to turn a corner and know easily that there are a maximum of five places that need to be checked for enemies; something that the casual players could do.
Call of Duty Elite
The Call of Duty Elite public beta has now officially started for Xbox 360 users. The first beta invites have been sent to a few lucky players, but don't worry, this is just the first wave and more invites will be sent in the following weeks. Call of Duty Elite will be officially launched when Modern Warfare 3 hits the stores this fall.

MW3 to have ‘revised’ multiplayer experience
Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has described how the multiplayer aspects of MW3 will greatly resemble Call of Duty 4, rather than those from MW2.
The emphasis on sitting back and racking up kills through killsteakes will be gone, with gun-on-gun having been optimised once more. It is hoped that through this, MW3 will return to the FPS experience that it became widely famous for.
MapMonkeys head to LA to find MW3 Glitches
4 members of the pro-glitching clan 'MapMonkeys' have been summoned to the Activision headquarters in LA to find and exterminate glitches in the new Call of Duty game. Glitching can often ruin a players experience of a game, with certain players being able to access unfair advantages and locations. This will come as good news to most gamers, who are hoping that MW3 will be 'glitch free'.
Modern Warfare 3 Spec Ops Teaser + Colour Blind Option
Infinity Ward has released a sneak preview of their soon-to-be-released Spec Ops trailer.

The trailer should be released soon, as they are currently adding the finished touches.
Sledgehammer Games has also revealed that they are developing a Colour Blind assist aspect of the game.
The stated, "Research suggests that as much as 6% of the general population suffers from Color Blindness, or more accurately Color Vision Deficiency. Men (9-12%) are 20x more likely to be afflicted than women (0.25-1%). Those numbers vary depending on which source you quote, but we estimate that nearly a million gamers are playing Call of Duty every day with this issue. I am happy to report that we are working on a Color Blind Assist option for Modern Warfare 3."
This is good news for many visually impaired gamers, since MW2 did not harbour such features.

MW3 Multiplayer Reveal Coming Sept 2nd
Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer gameplay will be revealed for the first time on September 2nd at ‘Call of Duty XP‘ – a event being held by Activision in LA. Call of Duty XP won’t just be the place that Modern Warfare 3 gets revealed at (along with the full suite of Call of Duty: Elite features), though. It’ll be a full-blown, two day Call of Duty-based convention showcasing Call of Duty games past, present and future.
Activision’s Eric Hirshberg said “This will be to Call of Duty fans what running through Willy Wonka’s factory would be like for kids,” so don’t expect this to be any half-assed event. ”When we decided to do this we went all in. There will be some pretty remarkable spectacle at this event.”
